Greetings Visiting Sorors! 

 

We are excited to welcome you to the Fabulous Farwest Region, home to three Founders of our illustrious organization: Founders Bertha Pitts Campbell, Zephyr Chisholm Carter, Wertie Blackwell Weaver and three Past National Presidents: Vivian Osborne Marsh, Geraldine Pittman Woods and, Mona Humphries Bailey.

 

Our region proudly boasts maintaining the largest territory of the 7 regions represented in our sorority. Our presence spans 2 continents and benefits from the cultural influence of California, Hawaii, Japan and the Republic of Korea. 

 

We invite you to join us at the many events hosted around the region and within the ranks of our 95 chapters. If you are a member of our glorious sisterhood and looking for a new home, we invite you to peruse the many chapters of our region, we are sure you will find the perfect fit!

 

The Farwest Region welcomes you to this era of F.I.R.S.T. where our sorors are formidable, inclusive, steadfast, responsive and trailblazing!

Delta D.E.A.R.S.

Delta D.E.A.R.S. are Delta Sigma Theta members who are 62 years of age and older. Dedicated to upholding the ideals and traditions of our illustrious sorority, our Delta Dears set a standard of excellence in service, scholarship, and sisterhood. Delta D.E.A.R.S. exemplify the dignity and integrity associated with gracefully navigating the lifetime commitment of sisterhood, scholarship and service.

 

Delta D.E.A.R.S. are honored and well respected members of the Farwest region. Their courage, grace, wisdom and support for our sisterhood significant contributes to the progression and continuity of our distinguished region.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization founded on January 13, 1913 by 22 college women on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. and is committed to public service with a primary focus on the Black community and to the constructive development of its more than 300,000 members.
