Program Planning & Development

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust is composed of five points to address the sorority's public service initiatives:

  • Political Awareness & Involvement

  • Physical & Mental Health

 

Our programming is designed to boldly address and improve the lives of our communities while maintaining our standard of excellence and progressive approach to evolving trends impacting our way of life.

 

National initiatives include Financial Fortitude, Dr. Betty Shabzz Academy, Delta GEMS: Growing and Empowering Myself Successfully, EMBODI: Empowering Males to Build Opportunities for Developing Independence, Good Health Wins, Mary Help of the Sick Mission Hospital (Kenya) and World AIDS Day.

"Lift Me Up" Haiti Fundraiser

Thank you for your overwhelming support of our “Lift Me Up” Haiti Fundraiser. Together we raised $59,000 in support of students attending the Cynthia M.A. Butler-McIntyre School in Cherette, Haiti. Your commitment has led us to exceed our initial goal of $50,000. Farwest Trailblazer: Eula Dean Roby

The Eula Dean Roby Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students majoring in education. Soror Eula Dean Roby was a dedicated member of the Los Angeles Alumnae Chapter who believed in supporting the mission and values of the Delta Research and Education Foundation (DREF). Today, we are honored to recognize Soror Roby for her lifetime dedication to sisterhood, scholarship and service!
