Our Programs
Our programs are driven by our organization's Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts, guiding impactful initiatives across the Farwest Region. Through regional leadership and local chapters, we execute programs that empower communities in Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness & Involvement, Political Awareness & Involvement, and Physical & Mental Health. Below are just a few of the outstanding programs making a difference.

Delta Days at the Nation's Capitol
Delta Days in the Nation's Capital, established in 1989 by the National Social Action Commission, is an annual legislative conference designed to increase members' involvement in public policy. The event features legislative briefings, issue forums, and advocacy skill development led by key policymakers, members of Congress, and national experts. Participants engage in sessions on effective advocacy, understanding congressional processes, and tracking legislation, as well as legislative visits and White House briefings. Additionally, members take part in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Town Hall Meetings and extend their advocacy through Delta Days at the State Capitol, City Hall, and School Board.
Grow with Google
The Grow with Google (GwG) and Delta Partnership Program provides free resources and workshop content to help enrich our members and the communities we serve. The digital skills provided will foster growth in the areas of personal development, career progression and entrepreneurship. Participants receive practical digital skills training to enhance productivity, job searching, entrepreneurship, and professional development. Workshops cover tools like Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets for everyday tasks, job search strategies, design thinking for innovation, and resume-building techniques to stand out to employers.

Farwest Region Step Collective
Our step team embodies the energy, unity, and tradition of our organization through rhythmic movement, claps, and stomps that create powerful, percussive beats. Rooted in African and African American traditions, stepping is a dynamic expression of our history, pride, and sisterhood. Beyond performance, this team is a unique training and growth opportunity, helping our members develop discipline, confidence, and leadership skills through teamwork and creativity. Through step, we celebrate our legacy, strengthen our bonds, and inspire our communities.
